Interest Groups

We have many groups and offer a range of activities to members (subject to change and availability), as shown in the list below. Members learn from each other, through sharing their knowledge, skills and experience.

People with a lifetime of experience, expertise and know-how in occupations, professions or through hobbies are encouraged to form interest groups and share their knowledge with fellow members. We encourage members to organise their own activities in a variety of subjects. So if you have a particular interest in a subject not included, we offer assistance with starting a group.

A number of groups meet in members' homes; so the size of these groups is limited and therefore there may be a waiting list, so the setting up of additional interest groups by members is encouraged. Larger groups may hire a local hall and there is a small charge to cover the cost and any other expenses, such as for speakers.

Our Programme with details of all groups and contacts is sent to new members on joining.

To join a group, you will need to be a member of Beckenham U3A (unless you are a member of Bromley U3A or Orpington U3A and it is a shared group). Please see the Welcome page of this website for a link to the Membership Application form to print out and complete.
